Mopey is exaggerating a bit, of course - not everyone gets that bloody cough of death when their time has come. Mostly, its restricted to characters that are female, frail, very young, very old, wearing glasses or a combination of the above. In that kind of character, however, you can readily assume that any coughing is a sign of impeding character loss, with the bloodiness of the affair increasing as the moment draws near. Once the character starts to have blood splatters in the background of their panels, they won’t last more than a single additional chapter.

Mopey never thought she’d die with regrets, but then, she never thought she would die wearing a pink outfit…actually, that’s the only possible reason why she took the first aid kit at all. (Which restored her to full health immediately. Cause that’s what first aid kits do. What do you mean, “not in real life”? Then what would be the point? O_O) Naturally, her willingness to accept aid might have been heightened by the fact that the person offering it at least was a semi-decomposed undead, not some pansy-wansy angel or anything like that. Plus, surviving gives her a shot at taking revenge on Sora one of these days, which is something that’s almost worth living for…

And, yeah, the Professor seems a bit flustered by what he saw just now…must have been truly disturbing, usually he’s not that easily fazed.
