|
Well, not exactly... It's a little distraction called "Cascade" which is played in the following manner:
Poster1 starts out by saying he/she has something. Example:
P1: I have a snail
Poster two responds by acknowledging and responding with something related but different:
P2: I see your mollusk and raise you a giant sea slug...of DOOM!.
The above example is an actual quote from a game that went on for a whooping 56 pages in 9 months on the ol' "Demonology 101"* forum before it closed down in november 2004. It proved to be so popular, that it was the very last topic to be updated before the board was moved to the archives.
*Pretty interesting online graphic novel by a canadian artist called Faith Erin Hicks, that deals with the trials and tribulations of a half-demon girl trying to lead a normal life. (located here) The style of drawing is pretty distinctive, and, although D101 has finished after 5 years and an impressive 711 pages, the author is currently drawing another one called "ICE", unfortunately "pay per view" over at Modern Tales (http://faith.rydia.net/ice.html)
So, in hoping to continue this glorious tradition on the B-movie board as well, until next time, I leave you with: "I have a 19th Dynasty Pharaoh"

I see your French king's involvement in the most obscure military conflict in history and raise you Napoleon III.'s attempt to install Maximillian of Habsburg as Emperor of Mexico.
Which also failed due to fashion ireconcilablilies. |

I see your ill-fated military operation following the US involvement in the conflict and the adoption of the Monroe Doctrine, and raise you Eduard Manet's depiction of Maximillian's execution.
(And that should be the last reference to obscure wars in this thread, as we risk scaring off for good any other potential players...) |

I see your Degas acting "impressionistically" upon the sight of young, scantly clad females, and raise you the introduction of cubism by another "dirty old painter"
*glassheart, if you want to make comments in this thread, please also reply to the game, by acknowledging whatever has been raised at the moment then raising something else. If you don't you'll just end interfering with the purpose of this topic* |

*okay, time to update this thread as well... really interesting interpretation of the game rulles, Zep!*
I see a building that looks suspiciosly like a block of flats, and raise you a 8.76 Richter scale earthquake that would most certainly level it. |
