Yup, Germans pronounce 'Siemens' exactly like 'semens' in English...
Perhaps those phones should carry a sticker or something, to prevent misunderstandings...

Many people do. The bread has even recorded some music videos, two of which made Top Ten in the German charts. There titles were 'Rock the bread' and 'I say NO!', if I remember correctly.
He (it?) also stars in a children's TV programme, costars being a hyperactive female sheep and a...uhm,...bush.
|
There is even more...
3 Feature length films staring 'Bernd das Brot' (Bernd the bread).
One about Robin Hood, one Harry Potter spoof (Berndi Broter und der Kasten der Katastrophen) and one parody on Star Trek/Star Wars (Bernd das Brot - USS BUMBLEBEE BUSH) with the very B-Movie like Villain 'Götz der Gnadenlose' (roughly Götz the merciless)
Unfortunately they only feature a german soundtrack but they are really great. |

And the campyness of the series is considerably augmented by the fact that most of the non-puppet roles are played by the same two guys, former western-show stuntmen, one of which wears fake buck-teeth for each and every one of his roles.
And one of the characters is named just 'Depp' (=idiot) - he's always called that on the show, and he's even just called Depp in the script.
In the Star Trek spoof, Bernd is called 'Mr. Bread', has pointed ears and a Spock-wig, and is ranked 'specialist for boring geological formations'...
The madness just doesn't end... |

Since I have joined the conversation slightly late...I must respond to earlier comments.
1. Hermione is hot as [ insert the hottest thing you can think of here, please ]. I speak of the actual Hermione, and not Emma Watson.
2. well...no there isn't a second. I just felt the need to blindly defend the one character with whom I identify...*sighs* so...*defends blindly* |

Yeah, what's in a name, indeed.
Actually, I had a few alternatives:
Principal Albus Dumbledore -> a limp, dead loser - public burn
Albus Wulfric Dumbledore -> dead bum? - willfull obscurer!
Severus Snape -> saves pee urns
Draco Malfoy -> a lord of YMCA
Draco Malfoy -> fly a doom car
Lucius Malfoy -> Lousy cum fail
But the most offensive one...I'll better write it small:
Seamus Finnegan -> Fag! Semen in Anus.

I must admit that I have the Emo/Elmo gag from on of the Wikipedia administrators...one day he was so enervated with the bickering going on between different editors behind the scenes at the Emo (music) article that he replaced it with a redirect to Elmo. In his edit summary, he dryly remarked: 'corrected obvious typo'. |
