| Go to your happy place! I feel so nostalgic about Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore right now. |

I find this comic a bit disturbing. I've always seen Dr. Hfuhruhurr as more of a steal-then-run-away kind of thief, more than a violent, murderous mugger, and to find that his "happy place" involves killing doesn't fit my view of him.
(Not saying that my view is more correct than the author's, it really isn't, but I'm just throwing it out there).
Though I'll admit this makes it harder to feel sorry when horrible things happen to him - which is useful, considering how often they do. _________________ "The man who offended you is either stronger or weaker than you: if he is weaker, spare him; if he is stronger, spare yourself."

Well, given how often he is put upon i suspect there is some general anger/resentment brewing in him, just waiting to come out into violence.
Might even be completely unrelated to his thieving tendencies and just happen to coincide. _________________

| I'm a bit torn on the issue, really. I don't think of Snuka as a real villain, but on the other hand the idea behind the character is that he has no moral standards whatsoever - there just is no moral dimension to his mind at all. It's not realistic, but I think it's funny...on the downside, that would include that he has no inhibitions against killing strangers, whether he's ever shown doing it or not. |
