Well, technically it's a "Top12", but I went with it since the entry in 5th place is no longer updating, and the following one has been on hiatus for over a year...

1) Zebra Girl by Joe England (http://zebragirl.keenspot.com/)

A story about a girl that gets accidentally transformed into a demon... and a really original one, for the matter...

Genre: Sci-Fi
Drawing style: artist's own -stilised facial features and anatomy

Art: 5 (out of a maximum of 5) -B&W inks, traditional media
Story: 5 -actually, several storylines, like on television shows
Comic relief: 5 -some of the storylines are pretty bleak, but ocasionally you get the"lighter note" needed in any ballanced product..
Updates: 4 usually every other week, sometimes more often, sometimes less...

2) Scary Go Round by John Allison (http://www.scarygoround.com/)

A chaotic bunch of characters having suprarealistic adventures...

Genre: Sci-Fi
Drawing style: VERY artist's own -stilised facial features and slightly distorted anatomical proportions

Art: 5 -vector art
Story: 5 -melange of continuing storylines and one-pagers.
Comic relief: 5 -a weird kind of British Humour, and absurd dialogues...
Updates:5 almost daily

3)Alpha Shade by Joseph and Cristopher Brudlos (http://www.drunkduck.com/Alpha_Shade/index.php)

Some of you might not like this particular genre, but I would say ithis is a comic worth seeing: from the first pages you are thrown into the chaos and absurdity of war, described with gritty realism despite the imaginary setting.

Genre: Steampunk Warcomic
Drawing style: manga-ish, but not too much. realistic anatomical proportions.

Art: 5 -very acomplished vector art (Flash MX)
Story: 5 -continuing storyline, VERY dynamic, with syncopated flow
Comic relief: ---- absent- it's a warcomic, it's not supposed to be funny
Updates:5 weekly, but sometimes it takes them more times to finish a page
