| Comment: Them critters in that 3rd panel, them are s'posed ta be mummy horseys, ya know? Actually, the old Egyptian didn't mummify horses (quite surprising, given the fact they mummified pretty much every other animal they could get their hands on, including, but not limited to, antelopes, cats, crocodiles, bulls and even fish), but I found the idea of a mummy chariot irresistable. Says something about me, doesn't it? Of course, our mummy could have opted for a more pimped-out ride, like this one, as well: Mummy-Machine In case you don't know what the professor is talking about in the last panel: me neither. Having important parts of the plot happen off- screen, and never getting back to them, is an effective way of showing your audience how highly you rate their intellectual capacity and creativity. A.k.a.: plot hole. (politically correct: circularly cavitistic part of storyline) |
