Comment: Adumbrance of Doom! Buahahahaha!

An integral part of every self-respecting bmovie plot: a mysterious old man or woman, informing the protagonists of their impending supernatural encounters in complicated prose, and telling them to turn back. What they never do, unless we are dealing with a rather anticlimatic short story.
(Old man: "Turn back now, or it will be to late!" Heroes: "O.K.. Thanks for the warning." The End)
I guess this is some remnant of that classic element of superstitious stories that requires the victims to somehow bring their doom upon themselves by not heeding a warning (or ealier, some religious requirement).

At the time I did this strip, I was still experimenting with the format, and their is a lot more detail in this one, and a whole lot more text, than actually works.

Of course, the opinion voiced by "man, old, toothless" in the final panel, espec. as regards not revisiting this website, do not reflect the opinion of the author or the webmaster. Pleaseeeeee come back.)
