| Comment: Look, it's Mister Hearse again - of course, again looking differently. A royal burial site in Ancient Egypt consisted of two parts: the tomb proper, where the mummy was buried, and the burial temple, where the rituals pertaining to the Dead were held. Depending on the specific era and the geographic circumstances, the two parts might be immediately adjacent or quite some way apart. Actually, the high incidence of eye problems in egypt can much more likely be attributed to infections caused by flies, dirt and sand particles than to the sunlight, but it somehow sounds more convincing that way. Or, to quote renowned expert Prof. Shigeaki Ohno: "I cannot understand, I don't understand it either, but this is it." |
